To make it easy for you, we bundle some interesting articles in this section so that you have everything at a glance.

One of our partners that we enjoy working with is WeCare Mortgages. We recently asked Martin and Sandra some questions about their view of the Spanish finance market.

Second Home Andalusia works with several reliable partners in order to offer their clients a total package of services when buying a house in Southern Spain. What can you do for their clients?
We can calculate what the mortgage possibilities are by carrying out our feasibility test, the Hypotheek Check. With this test the client finds out what the maximum mortgage amount is and the corresponding costs and monthly charges. Once a property has been found, we take care of the entire mortgage application, all in English.

We prepare the mortgage file and organise the financial approval, the valuation of the property and the opening of a bank account, up to and including the appointment at the notary.

We specialise in applications for Dutch/English speakers but handle applications for all nationalities and for properties throughout Spain and everything can be done remotely. We work together with a number of different large Spanish banks. We are familiar with all income structures.

If the mortgage is applied for through us, the client does not need to have the mortgage documents translated into Spanish; they can send us the Dutch/English documents."

Throughout Europe, there have been changes in mortgage rates. How do you view this development? And what do you expect for the Spanish market in the short and slightly longer term?
"In Spain too, interest rates have changed; they have gone up like in the rest of Europe. At the moment, it doesn't look like a rise is imminent."

What tip(s) would you like to give house hunters who want to arrange financing in Spain?
"Be well prepared and make sure you know in advance whether the mortgage is feasible. Let a specialist find out; a mortgage advisor in Spain who works with different banks to get you the best deal. In addition, it is highly recommended that you hire a lawyer to guide you through the purchase process."
