If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful environment to live or stay in on a regular basis, a small village in southern Spain could be a perfect choice. Particularly in La Axarquía, 'our' region in the province of Málaga where you will find beautiful villages and hamlets not yet affected by mass tourism. Here you can enjoy a “tranquilo” life, taking the time to relax and enjoy the simple things in life, just like the locals do.

One of the biggest advantages of living in a small village in this region, is the connection with nature. You will wake up to the sounds of birds, munching goats and breathe fresh air while enjoying the beautiful landscape. Life is peaceful and you have the opportunity to enjoy long walks or cycling in nature. Local farmers sell their fresh produce at the market, allowing you to enjoy deliciously healthy as well as affordable meals. Moreover, property prices in the villages of La Axarquía are generally much cheaper than those of the cities.

Living in a village here also brings a strong sense of community, both with locals and other expats. Residents are often friendly and helpful, and village life is all about social interactions.
