This cosy cortijo has been built around 1980 with rustic elements and has a large patio with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor and on the first floor a spacious studio with kitchen, a terrace and a balcony
The current owners have been living in this cortijo for over 20 years and have made the necessary improvements over this time including the construction of the swimming pool and the installation of double-glazed doors and windows throughout the property. The planting of numerous trees and plants around the house has created a private and exclusive atmosphere. The layout of the house creates the opportunity to start a B&B.
Although the neighboring house is close by, the house offers a lot of privacy, sheltered on all sides with many views of the surrounding lush vegetation and the mountains. Around the house you will find several seating areas, terraces and a large, sheltered garden in front of the house.
The house is located on a well-maintained dirt road, near the main road to Sedella and Canillas de Aceituno; it's a 40-minute drive to the coast, 60 minutes away from Málaga Airport and in just 2 hours you have reached Granada.
From the mountain road a short drive takes you to the entrance of the property with a large garage. An iron gate leads to the property with on the left hand side the swimming pool (32 m2) with a large covered pergola. Next to the pool area is the former vegetable garden.
At the entryway to the right you walk onto a spacious terrace with outdoor kitchen and a long terrace gives acces to the indoor kitchen. A little further is the large sheltered garden with a (dining) table, this spot offers a nice, shady seating area in summer.
Next to the garage, on the right, is the entrance of one of the double rooms. This room also has access to the patio. The dining room / kitchen and second double bedroom also lead to the patio of 52 m2, which can be seen as the heart of the property. A large water ornament, flowerpots and planters with geraniums and lovely fragrant plants turn the patio into a comfortable and peaceful retreat.
The numerous mature trees and plants that surrounds this country house contribute to complete privacy and create a lovely, Mediterranean atmosphere.
A long terrace at the right side of the house leads you through double doors into the bright kitchen (13,5 m2). Straight on you find the spacious lounge with several windows and the main front door that opens to the sheltered garden and terrace. The living room is provided with central heating and a woodburner.
From the kitchen you enter the dining room (12,3 m2) and on the left, double doors to the patio. A small hallway straight ahead gives access to the bathroom (5,3 m2) and the master bedroom (17,3 m2) with built in wardrobes, a ceiling fan and air conditioning.
Coming from the dining room you cross the patio to enter the second large double bedroom (16,2 m2), again we find built in wardrobes, a ceiling fan and air conditioning. This bedroom is provided with an en suite bathroom (4,3 m2) and has a separate entrance next to the garage.
On the interior patio a cast iron spiral staircase takes you up to a huge terrace (22 m2) that overlooks the patio below and has wonderful views of the surrounding scenery. On the terrace is the entrance to the studio (25 m2), with a small kitchen, central heating and a wood burner, air conditioning and a separate toilet (1,2 m2, sanibroyeur). Adjacent to the studio is a spacious balcony with magnificent views.
The windows are made of aluminium (the kitchendoor however is made of PVC), are double-glazed and the most are provided with wooden shutters or doors. The master bedroom still has an original window which can be replaced with either a double-glazed window or French doors.
Casa Coppe is a spacious cortijo style house with lots of atmosphere, beautiful views, a large patio and swimming pool. The house is sheltered and is easily accessible from the main road towards Sedella and Canillas de Aceituno. The layout of the house and the large studio on the first floor makes it very suitable for running a small B&B.
