After many visits to Spain, the desire arose to want to own a house in Andalusia. In September 2021 we went on a trip to Spain; researching locations, type of property, through which agent, etc. Many questions and matters to consider, and we had planned three weeks to try to achieve our goal.

At home we looked around on the internet and had already seen the site of Second Home Andalusia. We had rented a beautiful house in Sedella and on arrival we were very kindly welcomed by Caroline. After some explanation about the house and the surroundings, she got back into her car and suddenly we saw the logo of Second Home Andalusia on her door. What a coincidence and luck! We asked Caroline if we could make an appointment to discuss our ideas and wishes. This was no problem and within a short time we spoke to Caroline and Malcolm.

A few days later, we already had our first viewing of a village house in Sedella that we had found ourselves. Unfortunately, this was less appealing than we initially thought. Caroline and Malcolm quickly noticed this and got to work for us. What we wanted was hard to find with our budget. By now we also knew that we would rather have a house in the campo than in a village. So even more of a challenge! Nevertheless, a number of houses were found to view.

One we thought was really beautiful, but luckily Malcolm was there for the technical details. He advised us we really shouldn't buy this one, because the house clearly had some structural issues. It felt very good to be helped in this way, insights you don't have yourself! Our search continued and several homes were visited. Caroline and/or Malcolm were always there and nothing was too much. Unfortunately, we were unable to find our dream home during this period. So we went back to the Netherlands, a lot wiser!

In the winter of 2022 (beautiful weather and able to spend most of the days outside) we traveled again to Sedella, still with the same mission. Again we looked at a number of houses, but still did not find 'the one'. The day before we were due to leave we saw a property that seemed to have it all but could we see it at such short notice…

Second Home Andalusia  pushed every button and with results! On the day of our departure we could have a viewing and immediately we knew it had to be this one. It was so much more than we had wished for, but was slightly over budget. We made an offer through mediation and advice from Malcolm and Caroline. Within two days we had a deal, for a great price.

Then the formalities followed via the affiliated parties of Second Home Andalusia. We can only say that this was very pleasant and professional. After another viewing in April, the house became our property in July 2022. We are convinced that this would not have been possible without the help and support of Caroline and Malcolm of Second Home Andalusia.

Now it's a matter of making it our own and especially enjoying all the beauty this area has to offer.
