There are plenty of hiking opportunities on the doorstep including the mountain range of sierras de tejeda almijara y alhama with La Maroma, the highest peak in the Axarquía region (2.079m). From the heart of the village you can also start the new hiking trail ‘El Saltillo’ between Canillas de Aceituno and Sedella, where you will cross one of three highest and longest suspension bridges in Spain. The beach at Torre del Mar is a 25-minute drive and you can be in Málaga within an hour.
DESCRIPTION
Casa Montana is distributed over three floors with access from the street leading into the lounge (5x2.65m) via wooden double doors. From the lounge area you pass through a lovely beamed entrance into the dining room (6.50x2.60m) with a seating area /TV room. The fully fitted kitchen (2.50x4.75m) leads off from the dining area, here you will also find a shower room with a full-size bath and overhead shower (2.30x2.30m). A doorway from the kitchen takes you out to the large courtyard garden (60m2) where you find an outside kitchen (BBQ), dining area and a good size jacuzzi. A stairway from the garden takes you up to the covered terrace (6.80x2.95) where you can also gain access to the guest bedroom.
Back into the house, a staircase leading off from the lounge takes you up to a landing giving access to the first bedroom/study (4.85x2.60m) with built-in wardrobe/storage cupboard and the guest bedroom (5.25x2.70m) with built-in wardrobe. From here you have access onto the covered terrace via wooden French doors.
Back on the landing, a flight of stairs takes you up to another spacious landing giving access to the master suite (6.90x3m) with a large walk-in wardrobe (2x3.5m) with sliding doors, an ensuite shower room (2.65x3.45m) and two large balconies. This whole floor, incl the ensuite has underfloor heating and an aircon unit.
Back on the landing, a flight of stairs takes you up to the kitchenette (with washing machine and dryer) and utility area and access out to the large roof terrace (40m2) with great views over the village, the mountain range in the back and towards the sea.
The whole house has WIFI, a Sonos music system in- and outside, aircon units in al bedrooms and the kitchen and even an intercom system.
