Property for Sale
Our goal is to help you find your dream home from all the properties that are for sale in the Axarquia area of Andalusia, in which we specialize. We have no shop window or many houses for sale in our portfolio because we believe in personal attention and tailor-made offers; therefore we normally work on a specific request basis. The houses you see here are 'special' in one way or another: full of character, built or renovated to a high standard, having great views or are set in nice locations. On top of that, they have passed a first legal check. Take a look and let us know how we can help you further.
Casa Fuente Perdida, Daimalos
Overview
NEW: Casa Fuente Perdida is set in Daimalos, a tranquil hamlet surrounded by unspoilt countryside, vineyards, and almond and olive groves with UNESCO-protected ancient terraces. The small church of Daimalos still preserves the original minaret from the old mosque, making it one of the oldest in Spain. There is also an Arab fountain, said by legend to bring happiness and love to those who drink from it.
The property is divided over two floors and includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The garden is filled with fruit trees, Mediterranean shrubs, and a mature grapevine that provides natural shade. Here you’ll also find the plunge pool — perfect for cooling off on warm summer days. Two roof terraces offer wonderful views, while the old stable and bodega provide exciting potential to create an independent apartment.
From the south-facing roof terrace, you can enjoy stunning views of the church, the hills leading to the ruins of the ancient Moorish fortress of Bentomiz, and all the way down to the Mediterranean Sea.
Although Daimalos itself has no shops or bars, the neighbouring village of Arenas is just a five-minute drive (or a 30-minute walk) away. There you’ll find a couple of bars and small restaurants, a Farmacy, grocery shop, bakery, a small Wednesday market the municipal pool and several lovely walking routes that start from the village. There is even an olive oil cooperative where you can buy local oils.
The picturesque village of Corumbela is around eight minutes away by car, with a small grocery store and an artisan bakery serving the famous pan cateto, a traditional Andalusian bread baked in a wood-fired oven — celebrated each June with a local festival! A restaurant on the pretty plaza offers home-cooked meals, tapas, and fresh fish and meat dishes.
Vélez-Málaga, the historic market town of Vélez-Málaga is just a 20-minute drive away and offers a wide selection of shops, bars, and restaurants. The beaches of Torre del Mar can be reached in about 30 minutes, while the vibrant city of Málaga is just under an hour’s drive.
