In Sedella you will find everything you need for daily life. At Restaurante El Chiringuito, Víctor prepares freshly cooked breakfasts, lunches and dinners. At the Posada Puente Romano, César serves homemade dishes with menus that change daily. The main square has a couple of bars and a grocery store, as well as a small weekly market. In the summer months Bar El Chiringuito de Rafa is the place to enjoy an open-air drink.

The village also has a fully equipped gym, a children’s playground, a five-a-side football pitch, a padel court and a municipal pool. At the visitor centre you can learn about the flora and fauna of the natural park, and they also organise excursions and guided hikes. Just outside the village, Sedella Vinos produces premium organic mountain wines and offers tastings and tapas tours.

Goats and even mules, still used by locals to plough the fields, are a common sight along the mountain roads.

Right on the doorstep is the Natural Park of the Sierra de Tejeda, with Mount Maroma (2,069m) as its highest peak. The park offers countless hiking opportunities, including one of Andalusia’s new highlights, the El Saltillo trail linking Sedella with neighbouring Canillas de Aceituno, where you cross one of the three longest suspension bridges in Spain (50 metres long).
