Details
NEW: This nicely reformed 2 bedroom townhouse has been owned for many years by the present Spanish family. It dates to 1935 and was completely rebuilt in 1994. In recent years, the owner's son (plumber and electrician) has kept the house up to date and adapted it to today's needs. The house is located at the edge of the village and therefore has unobstructed views over the village and surrounding countryside from the terrace as well as from the living room.
The property is located in Canillas de Aceituno, one of the attractive white villages at the foot of the Sierra Tejeda and Almijara Natural Park. It is a unique area for hikers and other mountain sports enthusiasts. You can reach a height of 2079 metres on La Maroma, the region's highest mountain. From the heart of the village starts the new hiking trail 'El Saltillo' between Canillas de Aceituno and Sedella, where you cross one of the three highest and longest suspension bridges in Spain.
In this traditional, lively village there is everything you need for everyday living. There are a host of restaurants and bars where you can go for a delicious meal or a drink on the terrace. Rolling through the beautiful countryside within 25 minutes you can reach Vélez-Malaga and the beach of Torre del Mar. The city of Málaga and the airport are a 45-minute drive away and Granada along with the Sierra Nevada ski resort, can be reached in about 2 hours.
