Our goal is to help you find your dream home from all the properties that are for sale in the Axarquia area of Andalusia, in which we specialize. We have no shop window or many houses for sale in our portfolio because we believe in personal attention and tailor-made offers; therefore we normally work on a specific request basis. The houses you see here are 'special' in one way or another: full of character, built or renovated to a high standard, having great views or are set in nice locations. On top of that, they have passed a first legal check. Take a look and let us know how we can help you further.

Overview

NEW: Located in the Andalusian countryside surrounded by olive and almond groves, this unique two bed two bath property forms part of the old monastery and has been sympathetically renovated to a high standard retaining much of the original character with beamed ceilings and terracotta floors but also offers all the comforts of modern living. The house is on one level with the focus on outdoor life. There is a large inner courtyard and a spacious roof terrace with stunning panoramic views of Mount Maroma and the unspoilt Andalusian countryside, reaching down towards the Mediterranean sea.

There is a communal terrace area in front of the property with a majestic old algarrobo tree providing shade. A short walk or a 5 min drive takes you to the mountain village of Sedella, an authentic pueblo blanco with the The Natural Park of the Sierra de Tejeda mountain range on the doorstep offering plenty of hiking opportunities including one of Andalusia's new highlights, the 'El Saltillo' trail between Sedella and Canillas de Aceituno, the neighbouring village, where you will cross one of the three longest suspension bridges in Spain at 50 metres long. The village also has its own winery, 'Sedella Vinos', producing premium organic mountain wine.

At Restaurante El Chiringuito, Victor prepares freshly cooked lunches & dinners as well as breakfasts. There is a tapas bar on the plaza and a grocery store as well as a small weekly market. Bar El Chiringuito de Rafa, an open air bar, opens in the summer months and a 5 min drive takes you to Las Banderas, a country restaurant, where Manolo prepares a selection of meat and fish to order on his wood BBQ. There is a fully equipped gym, children's playground and a municipal pool for the summer months as well as a visitor centre with an exposition on the flora & fauna of the natural park. It's a common sight to see the goats along the mountain road as well as mules which are still used by the locals to plough the land!

The beaches of Torre del Mar are just 40-minute away and the vibrant city centre of Málaga can be reached in just over 1 hour.

description

A short drive on a recently tarmacked road off from the main mountain road brings you to the old monastery and Finca Nia with spacious communal parking directly outside the house. Adjacent is the original shady communal terrace area.

The front door leads into a light and bright spacious living room and dining area (6.80m x 3.20m) with a pellet stove which heats the property on chilly winter evenings. A small passageway takes you through to the modern fully equipped kitchen (4.20m x 2.40m). From here there is access to a double bedroom (7.6m2) with fitted wardrobes and an en-suite shower room (2.75m x 1.75m) where a door leads out to the inner courtyard.

Back to the kitchen, a doorway opens onto the attractive inner courtyard (6.60m x 6.0m) with in-built barbecue, a perfect place for alfresco dining. The second double bedroom (3.35m x 2.40m) with en-suite shower room (2.60m x 1m) is accessed from here.

Steps from the inner courtyard lead up to a wonderful roof terrace (4m x 3.5m) from where you can relax and soak up the sights and sounds of the beautiful Andalusian countryside and enjoy a tapa and a glass of wine while marvelling at the glorious sunsets.
