Details

NEW: Casa José is located on a quiet street in the pretty white village of Sedella with good access to the centre and all the amenities. It has 3 bedrooms , 2 bathrooms and a spacious covered terrace with stunning views over the village and up to Mount Maroma in the Sierra Tejeda range which at 2.069m is the highest peak in the Axarquía.

At Restaurante El Chiringuito, Victor prepares freshly cooked lunches & dinners as well as breakfasts. There is a tapas bar on the plaza and a grocery store as well as a small weekly market. Bar El Chiringuito de Rafa, an open air bar, opens in the summer months and a 5 min drive takes you to "Las Banderas" a country restaurant where Manolo prepares a selection of meat and fish to order on his wood BBQ. There is a fully equipped gym, padel court, football pitch, children's playground and a municipal pool for the summer months as well as a visitor centre with an exposition on the flora & fauna of the natural park. It's a common sight to see the goats along the mountain road as well as mules which are still used by the locals to plough the land!

Sedella is very much an authentic pueblo blanco with the The Natural Park of the Sierra de Tejeda mountain range on the doorstep offering plenty of hiking opportunities including one of Andalusia's new highlights, the 'El Saltillo' trail between Sedella and Canillas de Aceituno, the neighbouring village, where you will cross one of the three longest suspension bridges in Spain at 50 metres long.

DESCRIPTION

Casa José is accessed from the street via the front door taking you into the light and bright lounge (2.8 x 5.8m) with a pellet stove for the winter months. A door from the lounge takes you into the kitchen (3.0 x 2.85m),  off from the kitchen there is a small patio (3.6 x 1.45m) and a family bathroom (3.60 x 85m). Back in the lounge , a staircase takes you up to a small landing with the master bedroom on the left hand side (4 x 3.75m) with a balcony, en-suite (2.25 x 1.75m) and a small area which could be used as a dressing room or home office (2.35 x 1.45m) a hallway leads you to the other two bedrooms, a single (2.10 x 3.70m) and a twin (3.80 x 2.70m)

Back on the landing, a staircase takes you up to a large landing (2.20 x 3.50m) with an open fireplace giving access to the large covered terrace (6.15 x 3.80m) with attractive arches framing the stunning views over the village and up to the mountains. There is an option to create a second roof terrace which would give you impressive 360 degree views of the village and mountains.
